about1.jpg“I try to take the simplest photograph possible, in order for the subject to speak for itself. I am attracted to photographs that are so straightforward that the smallest details of the subject become very important. I’m also fascinated by my gram’s photo albums; the way they document, in a sentimental kind of way, how things change with the passage of time. my motivation is to make a record so that in the future we can look back and remember what things were like, and think about how things have changed.”

Jaime LeBlanc lives and works in Montreal. Her work has been published in The Walrus, Nylon, Half Empty, and En Route magazines. She enjoys sunset bike rides and thinking about cats.
